The Wife: Hold Onto Your Hat…

Have you read The Wife yet?  Wait, back up.  Have you discovered Alafair Burke yet? Because, if you haven’t, you need to get cracking.  When I first discovered Alafair, I went to her website and made it my mission to read everything she’d written thus far.  Spoiler alert:  they’re all terrific.  That’s been a few years back.  Since then, she’s pulled several more fantastic novels from under her stylish pashmina, including The Ex and several co-authored with the Queen of Suspense, Mary Higgins Clark.   Alafair is a brilliant attorney and law professor, as well as a riveting lecturer.  She happens to call James Lee Burke “Daddy.”  Gee whiz, talk about writing chops. She probably wrote her own nursery rhymes.  My money’s on limericks.  But, I digress…

The Wife jibes with the current hot button issue of sexual harassment, along with love, loyalty, and betrayal, and one heck of a whodunnit.  Stop reading this drivel and go get your copy. Right. Now.  Seriously, why are you still here?
