A Couple Girly Things

I figure the weekend is a good time to talk about some girly things.  The guys are out fishing or golfing or, like mine, napping in his chair with a book about to fall out of his hands and scare him to death. <<giggle>>  Y’all who know me know I’m not that much of a girly-girl, so you don’t need to worry about this happening often.  But I really really like these things and I wouldn’t be a good friend if I didn’t tell you about them. And I’m a good friend. 🙂

First we have these babies, Olay Daily Facials.  Ya know how sometimes your face just feels kinda yuck.  Ok maybe yours doesn’t, but mine does.  Or, let’s say, you need a facial but don’t have time.  Or you just want a cool and convenient way to clean your face. Any excuse will do.  These things are awesome.  The cloths look like this:

This is a close up (with a gold towel behind it – I never said I was a smart photographer).  So, you wet one of these wonderful things with some warm water and oh my goodness they feel SO GOOD on your face.  They bubble up nicely and remove makeup well.  And those little circles create a gentle scrubby surface that exfoliates your face.  When you rinse your face, it is soft like a baby’s butt!  Except prettier!

Then there’s this eyeliner by Revlon.  I completely accidentally stumbled onto this great stuff. It goes on smoothly, has a nice little smudge sponge at the end, and it stays put!  It comes in all kinds of fun colors.  I am totally going to grab a blue one the next time I’m at the store. And maybe a purple one, too.  Y’all know I love all things blue and purple.

Now, the facial cloths and the eyeliner can be found at any drug store.  For this brow pencil from Benefit, you’ll need to go to Ulta or somewhere like that. It is completely worth the stop (plus you can get the other things there).   The point has a funky shape to it that is excellent for filling in where you need to, and it has the obligatory brush as well.  I like anything that is goof proof.  Cause I’m always a goof.

Finally, there’s this micro-sculpting cream, also from Olay.  This is not your mother’s Oil of Olay.  Though it actually is great for mothers, too.  MaeMae uses it! (hey MaeMae!)  This is the yummy stuff you put on at night.  You know how sometimes it’s so hot (like now) and you are so thirsty and you just can’t wait to get your hands on a frozen margarita glass of cold water?  Well that is what this stuff feels like to your face.  Except refreshing, not cold.  When you get up in the morning, your face is still thanking you. Now isn’t that a nice thing to wake up to?
